Linkcity, Bouygues Construction's real estate development subsidiary, announced on Monday that it had laid the foundation stone for the 'Confluence' project in Bordeaux, based on a mixed wood-concrete construction.

In a press release, Linkcity explains that it has chosen materials with low environmental impact for this building, which will be equipped with photovoltaic panels on the roof and connected to the urban heating network, which includes 80% renewable energy

The building - which is aiming for BREEAM 'Very Good' certification - is scheduled for delivery in September 2024.

The site is to house the new campus of the Ionis higher education group, which specializes in visual creation and has been present in Bordeaux for 40 years.
