BMW AG announced that it is launching its new X7 in India. The model is to be positioned above the X5 in the automaker's range of SUVs. The X7 M50d is priced from INR 16 million as a CBU. The vehicle measures 5,151mm in length, 1,990mm in width and 1,805mm in height. It is to be powered by a quad-turbocharged, 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder diesel engine that generates 400bhp and a 760Nm of torque. The 340bhp, 3.0-litre straight-six turbo-petrol engine in the xDrive40i variant and a 265bhp, 3.0-litre straight-six turbo-diesel in the xDrive30d will arrive in India sometime in September 2019. All engines will be coupled with an eight-speed automatic gearbox and xDrive four-wheel drive system with surface-specific modes. It features a large 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a digital instrument cluster, four-zone climate control, a three-piece glass sunroof, park assist and a reclining function for all three rows.
