Class action - Pelephone
On January 2, 2012, the Company was notified by subsidiary
Pelephone Communications Ltd. ("Pelephone"),
concerning a claim together with an application for its
certification as a class action, of which it had received
notice that day and which were filed against it in the Tel
Aviv District Court.
According to the applicants, Pelephone deceived some of its
business customers and updated some of its tariffs, in
contravention of the law.
The reliefs sued for in the claim include reimbursement of
amounts collected from business customers of Pelephone due to
updating of the tariffs, and cancellation of the update in
the tariff. The total financial relief sought is estimated by
the applicants at NIS
380 million.
Pelephone is studying the claim and at this stage, neither it
nor the Company is able to assess the likelihood of its
success.
