Today, July 1st, 2024, Lesjöfors has acquired 100 percent of the shares in Clifford Springs Limited, a UK spring manufacturer. The acquisition will strengthen Lesjöfors’ offering in energizer springs.

Clifford Springs is a UK spring manufacturer that mainly supplies energizer springs to the seal and valve industry in the UK, Europe and the US. The company has a broad customer base and focuses on small to medium-sized series. The company possesses a high level of technical competence and is known for its qualitative value proposition and strong brand. The company has annual revenue of approximately GBP 3 million with good profitability and has 17 employees at its factory in Redditch.
 
Lesjöfors’ CEO, Ola Tengroth, comments on the transaction: “Clifford Springs is a well-invested company with a high level of internal technical competence. Through this acquisition, we are expanding our product offering in energizer springs while strengthening our presence in the UK and Europe. This acquisition also increases our footprint in the attractive niche segments of seals and valves. We look forward to continuing to develop the company as part of the Lesjöfors Group and see great potential for accelerating growth through our sales channels.”
 
Clifford Springs’ CEO, John Clifford, will continue in his operational role after the acquisition. Through the transaction, Lesjöfors has acquired 100 percent of the shares in Clifford Springs Limited with closing taking place today. The acquisition is expected to have a marginally positive impact on Beijer Alma’s earnings per share.
