Lesjöfors, via its subsidiary Alcomex, has today signed an agreement to acquire all shares in Amatec B.V., a Dutch spring distributor. With the transaction, Alcomex, and the Lesjöfors group, strengthens its distribution capabilities of stock springs, in line with its ambition to build the leading spring, wire and flat strip component group.
Amatec distributes stock and customized springs with a focus on the Dutch market. The company has high technical competence and supports its customers throughout the entire sourcing process, from product design to final product. The company generates revenue of approximately MEUR 2.5 per annum with favorable profitability and has six employees at its office and warehouse in Alphen aan den Rijn in the Netherlands.
Lesjöfors’ President, Ola Tengroth, commented on the transaction: “Amatec has a strong position within the Dutch spring market and through this transaction, we take a step further to accelerate the stock spring business in Europe.”
In the transaction, Alcomex acquires 100 percent of the shares in Amatec B.V., with closing expected within the coming week. The acquisition is expected to have a marginally positive impact on Beijer Alma’s earnings per share.
