Canadian technology company Baylin Technologies Inc. said Monday it received a 537,000 Canadian dollar ($390,644) order for its frequency converters from a U.S. government-systems integrator specifically for Department of Defense.

The order is the latest installment of a program for specially designed radio frequency converters, which are essential to facilitating satellite communications, Baylin said.

In late February, Baylin said it received the first order for its multibeam antennas from the European market. The month before, Baylin said it secured purchase orders worth more than C$6.7 million for two additional Summit II systems, as part of a government program, and for its X-band Summit II systems, as part of a deep-space communication application.
