Dual display functionality, iPad compatibility and audio are sure to further improve meeting room collaboration

Kortrijk, 29 January 2013 - Visualization expert Barco will demonstrate three new features for its ClickShare meeting room presentation system during this week's ISE trade show. Launched in September 2012 and an overwhelming success already, ClickShare will soon offer dual-display functionality, be iPad compatible and integrate audio. The new features, available from end March 2013, tie in perfectly with the ClickShare concept: they add to the system's user-friendliness and help boost meeting room productivity.

ClickShare's new dual display functionality may well be the most exciting of the new features: when two displays are connected to the ClickShare Base Unit, the latter will automatically activate 'Dual display mode' and show the content on both screens. This is especially useful for businesses with a video conferencing system: when they don't use the video conferencing mode, they can now present information (PowerPoint, MS-Excel spreadsheet, etc.) on two screens. On top of this dual display functionality, two more features that had been announced at ClickShare's official launch will soon be available: ClickShare's full compatibility with an iPad - via Apple TV or HDMI to DVI video cable - and audio.

Ease-of-use and meeting productivity

The new iPad compatibility, audio and dual display functionality will certainly add to the intuitiveness of ClickShare, while further raising meeting productivity. In this way, it perfectly fits into the ClickShare concept: ClickShare was developed after many years' research, with ease-of-use and meeting productivity in mind. Extensive testing between April and August last had confirmed that the product smoothly meets these promises: all users were duly impressed with the system's easy set-up and operation and confirmed that ClickShare introduces a whole new way of meeting.

Users will gladly embrace new features

"ClickShare's current success around the world confirms that we made the right choices," said Yoav Nir, Business Development Manager Collaboration. "I am very happy that we have been able to keep our promise of integrating audio and offering iPad compatibility by early 2013 and even complement these features with dual display functionality. From conversations I've had with users, I know they will welcome these new features. And we will, of course, keep developing new functionality to further raise meeting productivity."

Barco is delighted with the success of ClickShare since its launch. Large and small companies around the world are investing in the system. The new features will be easy to integrate into the existing ClickShare package.

Barco will demonstrate ClickShare and unveil its new features at this week's ISE 2013 trade fair at the Amsterdam RAI, from 29 to 31 January. Visit us in hall H, boots H66 and N66.
