Lukas Stueckelberger, who has worked for Bank Sarasin in Basel since 2008, has taken over as head of Private Banking Domestic Basel with effect from 1 June 2012. He reports directly to Werner Rueegg, Location Head for Basel and Head Private Banking Switzerland. Lukas Stueckelberger will be supported in this new role by his deputy, Rolf Muggli. The new management team in the business with clients from the region of north-west Switzerland is part of an optimisation of the organisational structure in Private Banking Basel. For example, new members have been added to the team serving special clients, which is headed by Martin Kindler.

In providing investment advice to private clients, all client relationship managers will be supported by the Investment Consulting Team with Raphael Benz as new head. Additional members will be added to this team in the coming months. Support is also provided for private clients in the areas of financial planning, inheritance planning, taxation and real estate by a team of specialists working in the Wealth Management Center under Romeo Ricciardi.

Lukas Stückelberger
Born 1967; Swiss citizen; living in Arlesheim; internship and apprenticeship with Bank Sarasin & Co. Ltd; Swiss Certified Financial Analyist and Asset Manager, as well as Certified EFFAS Financial Analyst.

Lukas Stueckelberger has over 25 years' experience in Private Banking and Asset Management. Before returning to Bank Sarasin & Co. Ltd in 2008, he worked for Swiss Bank Corporation and UBS AG in various functions.


During the period 2003 to 2006, for example, he was head of the Investment Consulting & Business Development arm for the regions of North and Central Switzerland. In 2006 he assumed responsibility for the HNWI private clients business in the market region of Basel & District. At UBS AG he was a member of the regional management team for North Switzerland.

Lukas Stueckelberger lives with his family in Arlesheim, where is a local councillor; he is due to take charge of the local council's Finances and Culture departments as of 1 July 2012.
