Bangkok Bank Chairman Chatri Sophonpanich received the 2011 Lifetime Achievement Award from The Federation of Overseas Chinese Enterprises and All Leader magazine. The award is widely considered to be the "Oscars" for Chinese business people around the world. The Federation and All Leader organize the event annually and give away three awards: "Social Contributor", "Lifetime Achievement" and "Person of The Year". The award ceremony, held this year at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre, also helps strengthen relationships among more than 2,200 Chinese business people from 135 countries worldwide. Members of the Sophonpanich family, including Khun Chatri's son and Bangkok Bank President, Chartsiri Sophonpanich, were also present, while other bank executives, the bank's business customers and media also joined the ceremony to congratulate and celebrate this very special recognition.
