Balfour Beatty plc has named Mark Layman as chairman and CEO for Balfour Beatty Construction Services US. The promotion comes on the heels of the retirement of Robert Van Cleave, outgoing chairman and CEO, who closed out his 17 years with the business at the end of 2013. During Layman's tenure with the business, he has served in positions of increasing responsibility and strategic influence including the roles of CFO, executive vice president, and for the past two years - president.
