MILWAUKEE (AP) _ Badger Meter Inc. (BMI) on Friday reported fourth-quarter net income of $17.5 million.

The Milwaukee-based company said it had net income of 60 cents per share.

The results matched Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 60 cents per share.

The manufacturer of products that measure gas and water flow posted revenue of $147.3 million in the period, beating Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $144.6 million.

For the year, the company reported profit of $66.5 million, or $2.26 per share. Revenue was reported as $565.6 million.

Badger Meter shares have climbed 6.5% since the beginning of the year. The stock has climbed 32% in the last 12 months.
