Aura Minerals Inc. announced preliminary production results for the fourth quarter and full year of 2014. For the quarter, the company reported total production of gold of 43,430 ounces as compared to 48,506 ounces for the same period a year ago.

For the year, the company reported total production of gold of 181,096 ounces, representing a 12% decrease over 206,956 oz produced in 2013.

The company provided production guidance and capital expenditure guidance for the year 2015. For the year, the company expects total cash cost in the range of $800 per ounce to $900 per ounce. Total production of gold is expected in the range of 160,000 ounces to 180,000 ounces.

For the year, capital expenditures are expected to be $11.5 million. Of this amount, $11.3 million relates to San Andres and principally includes the heap leach expansion, power line and committed community expenditures. The remaining portion will be spent on Sao Francisco. The company also expects to spend up to $1.0 million on an updated bankable NI 43-101 report for Aranzazu.
