Atacama Copper Corporation is a Canada-based copper exploration and development company. The principal business of the Company is to identify, explore and evaluate mineral properties in Chile and elsewhere in the Americas. The Company has two copper exploration projects located in Chile, comprising eight targets across three tenement packages in various mining districts. The Company holds mining concessions through its ownership of the El Cofre and Placeton projects in Chile. The Company is primarily focused on Placeton's four identified targets, located directly between Teck/Newmont's NuevaUnion (Relincho and El Morro Deposits). The El Cofre project is located approximately 700 kilometers (km) north of Santiago in the San Juan mining district (central Chile's cobalt belt) comprising more than 6,228 hectares (ha) of exploitation claims, in a cobalt-copper producing area.
