Arkema announces that it has signed a long-term agreement with Engie, starting January 1, 2023, for the supply of 300 GWh/year of renewable biomethane in France, one of the largest private biomethane contracts in Europe to date.

This contract, along with ongoing energy efficiency projects, will enable the chemical company to further significantly reduce the carbon footprint of its high-performance biosourced ranges of Rilsan polyamide 11 and Pebax Rnew elastomers.

Arkema says it is also exploring opportunities to collaborate with Engie and other industrial players to support the continuous improvement of renewable biomethane production in France.
