Sportsology Capital Partners and Ares Management Corporation (NYSE:ARES) are in exclusive talks to buy a stake in Major League Baseball?s Texas Rangers, according to people with knowledge of the matter. The group is in advanced discussions to acquire the 10% stake in the 2023 World Series winners owned by Janice Simpson, and the transaction is set to value the team at more than $2 billion, said one of the people, all of whom requested anonymity discussing confidential information.
