ARCADIS (EURONEXT: ARCAD), the international design, consulting, engineering and management services company has announced changes to the executive leadership for its U.S.-based Water Division. Effective Jan. 1, 2013, Dr. Michael J. MacPhee assumed the role of Water Division President. He succeeds Ken Spiker who has held key roles and leadership positions within the Water Division for the last 25 years. Spiker's new responsibilities will focus on bolstering strategic direction to support the company's growth while retaining client-focused relationships.

MacPhee has 20 years of experience providing a broad range of water consulting services to municipal, federal, and industrial clients across the U.S. and abroad. He has served in key management roles with progressively increasing responsibilities since joining the company in 2002, serving most recently as the Water Division's Client Development Director.

MacPhee holds doctoral and master's degrees in civil engineering from the Technical University of Nova Scotia, and is Board Certified by the American Academy of Environmental Engineers. He is a member of the American Water Works Association, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the Water Environment Association.
