APRR and AREA management contracts

In December 2009, the French State and Autoroutes Paris-Rhin-Rhône (APRR) and
Autoroutes Rhône-Alpes (AREA) formalised the technical content and the legal
and financial aspects of the management contracts for the period 2009 to 2013.

Following meetings of their respective boards today, APRR and AREA have been
authorised to proceed and sign these contracts.

The two contracts, following on from previous contracts for the period 2004 to
2008, provide for significant investments of around EUR500 million in current
terms, with agreed tariff increases of 0.50% in 2010 and to be equivalent from
2011 to 2013 to 85% of inflation increased by a fixed amount of 0.50%.

Under these contracts, several projects to build new motorway sections and
widen others are planned: the construction of the A6-A46 junction north of
Lyon, the widening of the A43-A432 motorway interchange, the widening of the
A71 at Clermont-Ferrand, the widening of the A46 north of Lyon, and the
widening of several sections of the A43 between Coiranne and Chambéry.

Other investments are planned to accelerate the development and modernisation
of the motorway networks, notably in the areas of safety, traffic management
and customer services.

The contracts also call for the rollout of drive through toll collection and
pay particular attention to the protection of the environment (water treatment,
noise reduction and safeguarding biodiversity).
