Anadarko Petroleum Corporation Reports Unaudited Consolidated Earnings and Production Results for the Fourth Quarter and Year Ended December 31, 2016; Reports Impairment for the Fourth Quarter of 2016
For the year, the company reported total revenue of $7,869 million compared to $8,698 million a year ago. Operating loss was $2,599 million compared to $8,809 million a year ago. Loss before income taxes was $3,829 million compared to $9,689 million a year ago. Net loss was $2,808 million compared to $6,812 million a year ago. Net loss attributable to common stockholders was $3,071 million or $5.90 per basic and diluted share compared to $6,692 million or $13.18 per basic and diluted share a year ago. For full-year, sales volumes of oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids (NGLs) totaled 290 million BOE, or an average of 793,000 BOE per day compared to 836,000 BOE per day a year ago.
For the quarter, the company reported impairment of $166 million against $1,504 million a year ago.
