Alps Electric Co., Ltd. revised consolidated financial guidance for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2017. The company expects net sales to be JPY 743,000 million compared to previous forecast of JPY 719,000 million, operating income to be JPY 42,000 million compared to previous forecast of JPY 38,000 million, ordinary income to be JPY 41,000 million compared to previous forecast of JPY 34,500 million, profit attributable to owners of parent to be JPY 31,000 million compared to previous forecast of JPY 25,500 million and net income per share to be JPY 158.24 compared to previous forecast of JPY 130.17.
Alps Alpine Co., Ltd. specializes in the production and marketing of electromechanical components. Net sales break down by family of products and services as follows:
- electronic components (52.4%): mobile phones, household items and industrial equipment components (switches, connectors, encoders, captors, etc.);
- audio and communication equipment for automotive (37.8%);
- logistics services (8.2%);
- other (1.6%).
Net sales are distributed geographically as follows: Japan (19%), China (19.2%), Americas (16.5%), Germany (10.7%), and other (34.6%).
