AKVA group ASA reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2022. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was NOK 840.29 million compared to NOK 738.14 million a year ago. Net loss was NOK 92.62 million compared to net income of NOK 14.21 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was NOK 2.55 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of NOK 0.43 a year ago. Diluted loss per share from continuing operations was NOK 2.55 compared to diluted earnings per share from continuing operations of NOK 0.43 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was NOK 2,596.43 million compared to NOK 2,289.19 million a year ago. Net loss was NOK 93.78 million compared to net income of NOK 5.65 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was NOK 2.58 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of NOK 0.17 a year ago. Diluted loss per share from continuing operations was NOK 2.58 compared to diluted earnings per share from continuing operations of NOK 0.17 a year ago.
Akva Group ASA is a Norway-based supplier of solutions and services to the global aquaculture industry. Its activities include design, purchase, manufacturing, assembly, sale and installation of technology products as well as rental, service and consulting services. The Company divides its operations into three business segments: Sea Based Technology (SBT), Digital and Land Based Technology (LBT). The SBT main products include Polarcirkel, Wavemaster and Akvasmart hardware brands such as: Plastic cages, steel cages, feed barges, feed systems, sensor- and camera systems, underwater lights and net cleaning systems. The LBT provides technology for water treatment technology. Main components used include mechanical filters, UV treatment, bio filters, degasser units, oxygenation, cooling/heating systems and lifting pumps. The Digital software include brands such as: Production control, planning, traceability, and ERP software for both the aquaculture and the fishing industry.
