AGRANA Beteiligungs-AG announced consolidated earnings results for the third quarter and first nine months ended November 30, 2016. For the first nine months, the company announced revenue was EUR 1,976.5 million compared to EUR 1,908.0 million for the same period a year ago. EBITDA was EUR 183.9 million compared to EUR 154.1 million for the same period a year ago. Operating profit was EUR 121.6 million compared to EUR 90.8 million for the same period a year ago. Operating profit (EBIT) was EUR 137.7 million compared to EUR 108.8 million for the same period a year ago. Profit for the period was EUR 95.2 million compared to EUR 81.2 million for the same period a year ago. Earnings per share attributable to the company shareholders increased to EUR 6.29 compared to EUR 4.97 for the same period a year ago. Net debt at 30 November 2016 was EUR 382.0 million, or EUR 23.8 million less than the same period last year.

For the quarter, the company announced revenue was EUR 647.2 million compared to EUR 644.5 million for the same period a year ago. EBITDA was EUR 69.7 million compared to EUR 61.0 million for the same period a year ago. Operating profit was EUR 43.3 million compared to EUR 32.8 million for the same period a year ago. Operating profit (EBIT) was EUR 47.3 million compared to EUR 40.1 million for the same period a year ago. Profit for the period was EUR 32.6 million compared to EUR 26.9 million for the same period a year ago.

The company provided earnings guidance for the full year of fiscal 2017. For the full year of fiscal 2017, the company continues to expect a moderate increase in group revenue and a significant improvement in EBIT. The groups capital investment of EUR 126 million will again be markedly higher than depreciation of about EUR 85 million.
