Genolier Swiss Medical Network (GSMN) today announces the execution of the integration of 100% of Schmerzklinik Basel AG in Basel (canton Basel-Stadt). GSMN thus integrates its first pain clinic, offering multidisciplinary pain treatment. The consolidation of the results of Schmerzklinik Basel will be retroactive at 1 January 2014. GSMN is pleased to pursue the collaboration with the former owners, Dr Guido Gallacchi and Dr Ian J. Whitehouse, who will remain active as physicians.
With the integration into GSMN, Schmerzklinik Basel will benefit from the advantages of a national network, today present in 10 cantons. Synergies will be realised with all the clinics of the Group, as Schmerzklinik will form a new competence centre for the treatment of pain, benefitting to all the patients of the group. Other synergies will be achieved in areas such as medical partnerships, purchasing, negotiations with insurance companies and relations with authorities.
The integration of Schmerzklinik Basel fits perfectly in GSMN's strategy. With 14 clinics, GSMN increases its national presence and reinforces its footprint in German speaking Switzerland.
