A record year with 95.4 million passengers handled in 2015
2015 traffic
Aéroports de Paris handled 95.4 million passengers in 2015, an increase of 3.0% compared to the previous year (92.7 million passengers in 2014) with 65.8 million passengers (+3.1%) at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport and 29.6 million passengers (+2.8%) at Paris-Orly Airport - a new record in passenger numbers for the two Paris airports.
Passenger traffic rose by 1.5% over the first half of 2015 and by 4.4% over the second half.
- International traffic (excluding Europe) was up (+3.4%), with growth in the following destinations: North America (+6.8%); the Middle East (+5.3%); Asia-Pacific (+4.4%); Latin America (+2.2%) and Africa (+0.8%). Only the French Overseas Territories were down slightly (-0.3%);
- European traffic (excluding France) was up (+3.5%);
- Traffic within France was up slightly (+0.8%);
- The number of connecting passengers increased by 5.7%. The connecting rate stood at 24.0% up by 0.6 points.
Passenger traffic at TAV Airports, 38%-owned by Aéroports de Paris, increased by 8.0%(1) in 2015.
Traffic in December 2015
In December 2015, Aéroports de Paris handled 7.1 million passengers, a decrease of 2.8% compared with December 2014. 4.8 million passengers travelled through Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport (-3.4%) and 2.2 million through Paris-Orly Airport (-1.7%).
- International traffic (excluding Europe) was down slightly (-0.7%), with a growth in the French Overseas Territories (+4.7%) and North America (+3.4%) more than offset by the decrease in the other destinations: Asia-Pacific (-7.3%); Latin America (-2.9%); Africa (-1.4%), and the Middle East (-0.3%);
- European traffic (excluding France) was down (-4.1%), as was traffic within France (-4.8%);
- The number of connecting passengers decreased by 0.7%. The connecting rate stood at 26.2%, up by 0.4 points compared with December 2014.
Passenger traffic at TAV Airports, 38%-owned by Aéroports de Paris, increased by 8.9% in December 2015.
