Aeroflot Increases Pilot Social Support Funding by 27.3%

January 28, 2015, Moscow. - Aeroflot's management decided to increase funding of its social programs for the airline's pilots.

The Company started implementing the set of measures to improve working conditions of aircrew members:

- The implementation of an automated working time planning system for pilots. The main goal of this innovation is to optimize the use of pilots' working time as one of the most valuable assets of the Airline and to minimize the role of the human factor in determining the scope and conditions of their work;

- The development of special programs of sanatorium treatment for the pilots;

- The development of the «Golden Anchor» pension program for retired pilots-in-command.

In 2015 the funding of the current social programs for pilots will be increased by 27.3% comparing with 2014.

Aeroflot pilots enjoy the longest vacation in the civil aviation - 70 days (in European companies 28), sanatorium treatment and corporate tickets including high season destinations.

These and many other benefits are fixed in Aeroflot Collective Agreement. The implementation of all these benefits costs the Company more than 3 billion rubles annually, most of the sum is spent on social support of the crew. In October 2014 the collective agreement was extended until December 1, 2017. The entire list of social benefits and guarantees for employees has been fully preserved.

The job career at Aeroflot is considered very attractive and prestigious not only by the Russian but also by foreign pilots. After the ban on employment of foreigners in the Russian air companies was lifted, Aeroflot has been continuously receiving applications from foreign pilots - more than 10 per vacancy.

According to the ranking of social responsible Russian companies conducted by the Agency of Political and Economic Communications in January 2015, Aeroflot is in TOP-10 companies with the high level of social responsibility. In 2014 according to the largest Russian recruiting company Future Today, the leading Russian airline entered for the first time TOP-10 of the most attractive employers for Russian universities graduates.
