Ricardo-AEA' s Business Manager for  Combined Heat and Power (CHP) , Heat and Carbon Capture & Storage area, Mahmoud Abu-Ebid,  presented one of the main awards at the annual Combined Heat and Power Association (CHPA) conference dinner in London, earlier this month.  An event attended by almost 300 professionals from organisations across the sector, the CHPA Awards showcased relevant achievement, innovation and best practice over the past year.

Mahmoud, [2nd from the left in photograph] who presented the award for the Public Sector category to NHS Grampian/Centrax said:

"I felt extremely proud representing Ricardo-AEA at the ceremony, sponsoring and presenting the award was an excellent opportunity for us to further raise our profile in the field of combined heat and power in front of a wide range of businesses and gave us a chance to further strengthen our partnership with the association."

Mahmoud and his team were also actively involved in the award decision making process, reviewing the nominations and making recommendations across all the categories.  This year's nominees covered a very wide range of businesses and enterprises, including pharmaceuticals, hospitals, universities and farms. In total, the projects put forward for awards are delivering savings of over £5 million per year and reducing carbon emissions by more than 130,000 tonnes per year.

The CHPA Director in his speech thanked Ricardo-AEA for the sponsorship and also for the CHP & Heat team's hard work in reviewing all the award nominations.
