Volvo named Lex Kerssemakers as its senior vice-president of the Americas region with immediate effect. According to two people familiar with the matter, Kerssemakers, a veteran Volvo executive, will be responsible for managing the opening of an industrial base in the country. Presently, Kerssemakers is the company's product chief.
