ASX Announcement 18 January 2016

3DM announces first sale under the eUnity distribution agreement

  • Five-year sales contract for the eUnity medial image viewer
  • $200,000 in revenue to be generated for customization of software
  • Annual subscription fee for maximum number of studies plus incremental fee for excess volume of studies
  • 3DM expects further sales success for the eUnity medical image viewer

3D Medical Limited (ASX: 3DM) (3DM or the Company) is pleased to announce that it has made its first sale (Agreement) under the distribution agreement for the eUnity™ medical image viewing and collaboration platform.

As previously announced on 30 November 2015, the Company has been appointed for an initial five-year term to distribute Client Outlook Inc.'s eUnity medical image software products globally and generate fees based on the number of radiology images examined through the software.

The first sale is a five-year Agreement and allows for approximately $200,000 in revenue to be paid to 3DM in the coming months for various software development work to configure the eUnity medical image viewer to suit the specific requirements of 3DM's initial enterprise customer.

In addition, 3DM will earn an annual subscription fee under the 5-year Agreement for a finite number of medical image studies that the customer can view via the eUnity medical image software.

Where the customer views medical image studies in excess of the agreed annual volume, an incremental "per study" fee will be charged to the customer each quarter.

As is common under an Agreement of this type, the specific terms regarding minimum number of studies, as well as the annual and incremental licence fees shall remain commercially confidential.

Dr Nigel Finch, Chairman of 3DM commented that "this first sale of the eUnity viewer demonstrates 3DM's ability to identify leading-edge applications and to commercially deploy these applications with leading healthcare professionals. We would expect further sales success in the near term distributing the eUnity medical image software in our target markets".
