2U, Inc. announced that it has hired two new senior leaders, Bruce Spatz as senior vice president, course development and Marlowe Johnson as vice president, production to support and scale the innovative work of 2U's content team. 2U's content team works with university faculty to ensure professors bring their curriculum to life for the digital medium by creating feature videos and case studies and engaging, interactive educational content. In his new role, Bruce Spatz, senior vice president of course development will lead the course development team. Spatz joins 2U from Wiley where he was the vice president of strategic development for global education. 2U also announced the hire of Marlowe Johnson, vice president of production. In this role, Johnson will manage 2U's entire production staff. Johnson joins 2U from Pearson, where he was vice president of learning architecture. In that role, he was responsible for ensuring a scalable content workflow, integrating and adaptive learning technologies to deliver positive learning outcomes.
