1Spatial Plc announced that it has received formal agreement to provide its software solutions as part of a state-wide Spatial Data Infrastructure project to the State of Michigan Department of Technology in the USA through a subcontract with Esri. The total contract value for 1Spatial is $766,000 and is for a five year period. The total 1Spatial license fee is $405,000, split into five annual instalments to 1Integrate for ArcGIS, with associated implementation services being $361,000. Of the associated services, $84,000 was subject to an earlier order agreed in June 2017 and has already been successfully delivered. The remaining services should be delivered by the end of 2018. This project will form part of the Michigan Geographic Framework and 1Spatial will correct inconsistent data and fix communication problems by creating and maintaining a single, accurate official base map for state business needs. This process will include automating existing manual process with the integration of data from many sources; including state government, local government and private entities. Ultimately, the automation of the process will save the State of Michigan money and resource, thereby delivering efficiencies. Most importantly, the validation and integration of the data into a single, seamless, statewide database will provide decision makers with accurate and timely data upon which to make critical operational decisions.
