The Paris stock market ended the first trading session of the week with an anecdotal gain of 0.12%, to 7348 points, in extremely low volumes, typical of the summer period: less than two billion euros have been traded since the opening.

With no statistical releases or catalysts, the day proved to be very quiet, a trend which is set to continue tomorrow, for Assumption Day, when the Milan and Vienna stock exchanges will remain closed.

Remember that the summer trough that begins after the end of the earnings season is a traditionally quiet period on the markets, which generally tend to stick to the trends at work in previous weeks.
