Soybean export inspections are down from levels seen in recent weeks, with year-to-date shipments behind last year's pace.

For the week ended Oct. 26, the Department of Agriculture reports that soybean export inspections totaled 1.89 million metric tons. That's down from 2.63 million tons reported last week, and 2.59 million tons at this time last year. WIth this week, soybean inspections through the whole year are down 2.7% from the previous year.

Corn and wheat shipments are up from last week, according to the USDA. Corn inspections totaled 531,516 tons, while wheat inspections totaled 189,842 tons - both up from this time last week and this time last year.

China was the leading destination for US soybeans for the week, while the Philippines was the leading destination for wheat and Mexico was the leading destination for corn.

CBOT grain futures are lower this morning - with most-active corn down 0.2%, soybeans down 0.5%, and wheat down 0.6%.
