ST PETERSBURG, Russia, June 8 (Reuters) - Igor Sechin, the head of Russian energy giant Rosneft's, said on Saturday that Asia-Pacific region now accounts for more than 80% of Russian oil exports and a decision to diversify supplies away from Europe has been fully justified.

He also said that he concurred with the assessments of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) about a rise in global oil demand. (Reporting by Vladimir Soldatkin and Olesya Astakhova Editing by Tomasz Janowski)
