Shares of silver producers are also falling fast as prices for the precious metal tumble. Silver prices were recently down more than 7%, a day after they closed at an eight-year high.
Among producers, First Majestic Silver shares fall nearly 20%, while Hecla Mining is down 14%. Fresnillo shares slide more than 7%.
