TROY, Mich., Jan. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Ziebart International Corp., the global leader in automotive detailing, films and protection services, has promoted Larisa Walega to Director of Marketing for the worldwide corporation, it was announced today.

Ms. Walega, a five-year employee of the company, will assume responsibilities for directing and coordinating the development, execution and analysis of all Ziebart marketing, advertising and public relations programs in January of 2014. In addition, she will be responsible for all company field marketing, digital marketing and creative/graphic/video teams.

Prior to her promotion, Ms. Walega served as Director of Field Marketing for Ziebart Corporation from January of 2013 until her promotion to Director of Marketing. In that capacity, she developed and oversaw fully integrated advertising, marketing, public relations and event plans for all domestic corporate stores and nearly 100 franchised locations.

Ms. Walega joined Ziebart in 2009, bringing with her experience working in the advertising world with two major Detroit area agencies, Doner and the newly renamed firm: Lowe Campbell Ewald. Her diversified client work included: ADT, General Motors Corporation, Owens Corning, the University of Michigan Health Systems and XM Satellite Radio.

A graduate of Adrian College with a Bachelor of Arts in Arts Management, Ms. Walega has served on the Alumni Association Board of Directors. She resides in Rochester Hills, Michigan. She is active in numerous professional and civic organizations and currently serves as a member of the Direct Marketing Association of Detroit's Past President's Educational Group, after having served as immediate past president and in various board capacities since 2007.
