PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwired - Jan 20, 2015) - Webtrends, a Microsoft-preferred partner for SharePoint analytics, today announced several updates to its product, Webtrends SharePoint Analytics, as well as a significant increase in SharePoint Analytics business as 17 new enterprise-level companies began using the solution last quarter. Webtrends also achieved a Microsoft gold collaboration and content competency, demonstrating its ability to meet Microsoft Corp. customers' evolving needs in today's dynamic business environment, for its 10th consecutive year.

Product Updates
New updates allow for simple and streamlined access to Webtrends SharePoint Analytics, rapid time-to-value installation and more flexible and accurate reporting. Features include:

  • Webtrends Analytics App - Available in the Microsoft App Market, the app enables the Microsoft SharePoint 2013 and Microsoft Office 365 installer and allows for simple integration, data collection and reporting within minutes of installation.
  • Centralized reporting - A new set of engagement-specific reports allow organizations to accurately measure ROI by showing user level action and collaboration across the entire span of a SharePoint deployment (intranet, extranet, Internet).

The addition of these capabilities has helped create a turnkey solution that captures all the metrics companies need to understand how SharePoint delivers value across their organizations. Webtrends SharePoint Analytics is also easily customizable and configurable to fit the specific needs of each unique environment.

"It's never been more important for businesses to understand the impact of the experiences they invest in," said Karuana Gatimu, director, strategy & adoption, discovery & collaboration at Microsoft. "Multi channel analytics is a cornerstone of a good content strategy. I'm excited about the new capabilities in this Webtrends release and how it enables data driven decisions across channels."

Client Bookings
Webtrends has signed on more new clients in the last quarter than any other previous quarter; including, but not limited to:

  • Lubrizol, a global company, which combines complex specialty chemicals to optimize the quality, performance and value of customers' products while reducing environmental impact.
  • Moody's, a provider of credit ratings, research, tools and analysis that contribute to the transparency and integration of financial markets.
  • Equinix, a provider of an interconnection platform, which connects more than 4,500 companies directly to their customers and partners inside the world's most networked data centers.
  • Australian Pacific Airports, owner and operator of two Australian airports: Melbourne Airport and Launceston Airport.
  • ASML Netherlands, a leading provider of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry.

Each of these companies has implemented Webtrends SharePoint Analytics and has used it to drive adoption, engagement and site improvements.

"Webtrends SharePoint Analytics allows us to better analyze how our enterprise is using our intranet, and as we go mobile on the enterprise, it will be even more important to see what content allows our employees to get work done," said Brad Chaney, enterprise operations manager at Emerson Corporation.

Microsoft Gold Collaboration and Content Competency
This is the 10th consecutive year Webtrends has been granted a Microsoft gold partner competency. This competency demonstrates the company's continued dedication to providing best-in-class Microsoft SharePoint analytics solutions to Microsoft customers worldwide. To earn a Microsoft gold competency, partners must successfully demonstrate expertise through exams, culminating in Microsoft certifications. And to demonstrate successful projects, Microsoft requires customer references and a yearly customer satisfaction study.

"By achieving a gold competency, Webtrends has proven its expertise placing them among the top 1 percent of Microsoft partners worldwide," said Phil Sorgen, corporate vice president, Worldwide Partner Group at Microsoft Corp. "When customers look for a partner to meet their business challenges, choosing a company that has attained Microsoft competencies is a smart move. These are highly qualified professionals with access to Microsoft technical support and product teams."

The Microsoft collaboration and content competency helps Microsoft Certified Partners take advantage of the growing services opportunity around SharePoint by demonstrating their ability to offer solutions that connect teams, improve access to information and increase productivity.
