A National Workshop on Post-Clearance Audit (PCA) was conducted from 7 to 11 December 2015 in Podgorica, Montenegro under the sponsorship of the Customs Cooperation Fund (CCF) of Germany. It was aimed at helping the Customs Administration of Montenegro improve, adjust and use PCA methods more effectively.

This Workshop follows up on the WCO Sub-Regional Workshop organized for the Balkans under the 'Western Balkans Trade Logistics Project', funded by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and held from 2 to 6 June 2014 in Belgrade, Serbia.

Information about the WCO PCA Guidelines and on how PCA is organized was shared, together with concrete examples of how PCA can be implemented.

Some 10 Customs officers from PCA and PCA-related sections attended this Workshop, led by the following experts: Mr. Matthias Just from German Customs and Mr. Jari Saloniemi from Finnish Customs.

During the five-day Workshop, participants could actively participate in practical exercises and many questions were raised that resulted in highly interactive and fruitful discussions.
