WASHINGTON, July 9 (Reuters) - U.S. targeting of certain investments in artificial intelligence in China is narrowly targeted at clear national security risks, Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen told lawmakers on the U.S. House panel on financial services on Tuesday.

"We've tried to target technologies that are critical and can contribute to military intelligence or cyber capabilities in countries of concern. We want to make sure that what we're doing here is narrowly targeted at clear national security risks," Yellen said. (Reporting by David Lawder and Ismail Shakil)
