The Easton Technology Management Center at UCLA Anderson School of Management, in association with student-run High Tech Business Association, is hosting its second CES® conference. The free event comes on the heels of the CES® held annually in Las Vegas by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA)TM, which showcases the latest innovations in consumer electronics.

The CES® event at UCLA Anderson will highlight some of the newest emerging technologies through featured speakers and panel discussions from various industries in the Executive Dining Room 11:30am-4:30pm along with numerous exhibitors on the Alumni Plaza 4:30pm-6:30pm on January 14, 2016.

Keynote addresses will be delivered by Keith Chen, UCLA Anderson associate professor in Strategy and Uber’s head of Economic Research, and Bibop Gresta, chief operating officer at Hyperloop Transportation Technologies. Jesse Fittipaldi, head of business development at Arcimoto, will be participating in a Fireside Chat. The program will also include panel discussions by invited industry professionals, faculty, and students on topics addressed at the recent CES® 2016 in Las Vegas. The themes for this event will include the Internet of Things, streaming media and high speed networks, connected car, smart home, wearables, virtual reality, and drones.

“The CES® conference at UCLA Anderson is a terrific opportunity to connect students with the local tech scene, both on campus and outside campus, and to learn about emerging technologies,” says Guillaume Roels, UCLA Anderson associate professor in decisions, operations, and technology management and faculty director of the Easton Technology Management Center. “UCLA Anderson has become a tech hub, with about a third of the incoming MBA class interested in technology, and this conference is a great opportunity to help them learn about the latest technology trends and interact with inspiring technology leaders.”
