SILVER SPRING, Md., Jan. 6, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- The Siena School ("Siena") is proud to be celebrating its 10th Anniversary this year and announces plans for expansion beginning this coming summer. Siena was founded in 2006, to meet the learning needs of bright, college-bound students with language-based learning differences, such as dyslexia. Siena has quickly grown to serve over 100 students in grades 4-12. In 2012, Siena purchased the former Boys and Girls Club building on Forest Glen Road, in Silver Spring, and plans to expand to add 16,000 square feet to meet the growing demand for engaging multi-sensory individualized instruction. Siena plans to break ground on the new wing in June 2016. When fully completed, the three-story addition will allow enrollment to grow to 170 students. Key to the expansion is providing facilities to nurture students' areas of strength in the sciences and creative arts. The addition will house wet and dry science labs, a black box theater, a music classroom, an expanded art studio, locker rooms, and multiple classrooms.
