1010data, Inc., the only Big Data discovery platform that uniquely combines a complete analytical platform with all of the relevant data clients need, today announced the winners of the first annual 1010data Ecommerce Awards presented by TWICE (This Week in Consumer Electronics). The awards recognize the best-selling consumer electronics brands online at the top 100 retailers in the US. Winning brands are ranked both by the total dollars of their product sold online and by number of units sold online during 2015.

Presented by TWICE, the winners were formally announced today in The Official CES Daily, published by TWICE, and were determined using 1010data’s Consumer Purchase Panel. Winners were chosen across 11 categories, including activity trackers, cameras, drones, headphones, smartwatches, speakers, tablets and TVs.

The awards evolved from a desire to recognize the creativity, innovation and execution of brands in important product categories in the fastest growing retail channel -- online. As consumers increasingly engage with and purchase products online, manufacturers are forced to reconsider the purchase path: products are no longer defined by the physical shelf space surrounding them. These awards have been developed to showcase those brands which have done the best job capitalizing on this new paradigm.

“The dynamics of e-commerce are much different than brick and mortar. With unlimited shelf space and new segments, brands have the ability to quickly emerge as important players,” said Tim Wilson, Vice President of Ecom Insights at 1010data. “Winning in this uncertain landscape is a top challenge for brands that for decades have primarily sold through brick and mortar stores. With the 1010data Ecommerce Awards presented by TWICE, we wanted to showcase those companies achieving online success.”

“It is with great pleasure that we partner with 1010data to present these ecommerce awards. Our readers have come to expect that TWICE can give them the best information and perspective on the consumer electronics industry. 1010data provides an exciting and never-before-seen view in to the role of ecommerce and online path to purchase for the consumer electronics industry. Readers can expect to see deeper dives into online sales and trends in consumer electronics from 1010data and TWICE throughout 2016,” said John Laposky, Editor-in-Chief, TWICE.
