Technica Corporation, a leader in high-end-systems engineering and operations and maintenance for mission-critical networks, announced it was awarded a $7.7 million task order to provide the Department of Labor (DOL) with an Identity and Access Management (IAM) solution. This contract is part of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) Program Tools and Continuous Monitoring as a Service (CMaaS) Blanket Purchase Agreement (CDM/CMaaS BPA), with a total estimated ceiling of $6 billion.

“The Department of Labor will gain a unified, policy-driven approach to identity and access governance across all users through an Integrated Database Management System,” said Technica President and Chief Executive Officer Miguel Collado. “Once deployed, Technica’s solution will provide the Department with the information needed to quickly diagnose and respond to security risks involving their privileged user accounts.”

The DOL/IAM Tools and Services contract has a base year value of $6.3 million plus two option years. The Technica Team will provide consulting and implementation services to support IAM requirements including identity management, virtual directory, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), access management and professional assistance services.

The IAM solution will integrate with current DOL data and security architecture and Technica will provide the program management, technical services and materials to deploy and maintain the products. This architecture includes Public Key Infrastructure devices and appliances that support the Department’s logical access control system. Optiv Federal is the partner for implementation of OEM solutions provided by Sailpoint, CyberArk, Radiant Logic, Ping Identity and Axiomatic on this contract. Optiv Federal is one of Technica’s key CDM/CMaaS BPA partners among several industry-leading solution providers and OEM vendors supporting the CDM community on this critical program.
