CONSUMER PRICE INDEX, DECEMBER 2012


Monthly change in Consumer Price Index (CPI) was realised by 0.38%

A rise in general index was realised in CPI (2003=100 based) on the previous month by 0.38%, on December of the previous year by 6.16%, on same month of the previous year by 6.16%, on the twelve months moving averages basis by 8.89% in December 2012.

The highest monthly increase was 1.55% in food and non-alcoholic beverages

The indices rose for communication 1.23%, for hotels, cafes and restaurants 0.39%, for housing 0.24%, for furnishings and household equipment 0.21%, for miscellaneous goods and services 0.10%, for health 0.04%, for education 0.02%, for alcoholic beverages and tobacco 0.01%, while the index declined for recreation and culture 0.17%, for transportation 0.27%, for clothing and footwear 1.50%.

The highest annual increase was 11.37% in the index for housing

Hotels, cafes and restaurants (9.31%), miscellaneous goods and services (8.66%), clothing and footwear (8.17%) were the other indices where high increases were realised.
