Syncfusion, Inc., announced today the release of Essential Studio 2018 Volume 4. Highlights are six new controls each for the JavaScript and Xamarin toolkits, including TreeGrid, PDF Viewer, Chip, Splitter, and QueryBuilder for the former.

Essential JS 2 has also moved several of its preview controls into production. With 2018 Volume 4, Syncfusion has also:

  • Added extra features for JS 2’s existing controls: dragging, dropping, and spanning rows for Grid; Hijri calendar support; and blocking time intervals for Scheduler.
  • Improved the Xamarin UI toolkit with:
    • Six new controls: Button, Backdrop, Border, Badge View, Chips, ParallaxView.
    • Updates to its existing controls with form-filling support for PDF, RTL language support for seven more controls, and unbound rows support for DataGrid, among others.
  • Extended support for high DPI to more WinForms controls and added the ability to navigate data from an underlying data source with a new DataPager control.
  • Updated WPF with system theme support, stacked doughnut charts, and redaction and stamp annotations for its PDF Viewer.
