Dairy processors sold 239 181 kilolitres of milk and cream in November 2016, up 1.3% from November 2015.

Sales of milk were up 0.8% from the same month a year earlier to 208 803 kilolitres, while cream sales rose 4.6% to 30 378 kilolitres.

Cheddar cheese stocks stood at 44 216 tonnes on December 1, 2016, down 2.2% from the same day a year earlier. Process cheese stocks totalled 13 359 tonnes on December 1, up 8.1% from the same day a year earlier.
