SpotSee, a global leader in shock, vibration and temperature monitoring through low-cost connectivity and data, has appointed Gabriel Jurado as the company’s vice president of manufacturing.

Jurado will be filling the role of executive manager for all of SpotSee manufacturing, which includes both Texas and Mexico manufacturing facilities. He will be developing the SpotSee Operating System which includes training, development and key performance indicators for manufacturing SpotSee’s core technologies across both facilities. Additionally, Jurado will be responsible for recruiting new employees, including assemblers and engineers with backgrounds in injection molding, industrial process and automation. Jurado will be based out of SpotSee’s Chihuahua, Mexico, manufacturing plant.

Jurado is equipped with more than 22 years of expertise in manufacturing, management and factory optimization. He merges his technical expertise with his knowledge of people to create efficient and safe manufacturing environments. Over the years, manufacturing plants under Jurado’s leadership have been credited with reducing costs and waste, increasing efficiency, improving customer satisfaction and creating better overall products. He is noted for his achievements in safety, quality, management and efficiency. Gabriel has an industrial engineering degree and an MBA. Additionally, he has earned several industry certifications including Lean Six Sigma.

Before starting at SpotSee, Jurado was an operations manager for Federal Mogul. While there, he was responsible for two manufacturing plants and was credited for a 40 percent complaint reduction from automotive customers. Prior to that, Jurado was the manufacturing engineering director for Electrolux. He worked at Electrolux for 11 years in several other positions including cost-out and continuous improvements leader, operations manager, product care manager and business unit leader.
