International Recognition by World Health Organization for SoloFlow® HIGHLIGHTS: World Health Organization acknowledges advantage of SoloFlow® in Developing Countries German partner publishes article on CoreIT® Technology

The World Health Organization (WHO) - a specialised agency of the United Nations (UN) that acts as a coordinating authority on international public health - has recognised SoloFlow® Medical Transfer Cannula and its potential benefits in the Developing World.
WHO and its immunisation team has recognised that the Company's SoloFlow® cannula can offer a great advantage for countries already engaged in recycling of plastic syringes. WHO has also acknowledged that the reduced risk of needle stick injury in comparison to steel needles is another core benefit of the SoloFlow® cannulae.
As a next step, WHO's 'Performance, Quality and Safety' team (PQS) is planning to create a sub-category for reuse prevention syringes (RUP) with plastic needles within the existing device catalogue. Telezon/SSB and the WHO PQS team have commenced discussions to prequalify the SoloFlow® cannula for procurement by UN agencies.
Ultimately, the creation of this sub-category means that Telezon has greater opportunities to introduce its SoloFlow® cannula to international organisations already listed and who have pre-qualified devices within this system, such as Becton Dickinson www.bd.com, and Hindustan Syringes & Medical Devices Ltd (HMD) http://www.hmdhealthcare.com.

"... and make the impossible possible. Our profound tool making and injection moulding know-how has enabled us to successfully implement the patented CoreIT® technology developed by SSB Technology Pty Ltd, Australia. The process validation of the small volume production mould has been successfully completed. Since then, we have manufactured plastic cannulae with an inner diameter of 0.65 mm, a length of 30.0 mm and a wall thickness of just 0.5mm with the patented CoreIT® technology. A spectacular achievement!

A 4-fold mould has been built in order to develop the market for this particular product. The current tooling enables us to refine process parameters with respect to a 16-fold or 32-fold high volume serial mould."
