Sinn Féin's Orlaithí Flynn has said that Arlene Foster's dismissal of calls for equality and respect to be at the heart of the political institutions as a wish list is just the latest example of the DUP's arrogance.

The West Belfast election candidate said;

'This election is about equality, respect and integrity in the political institutions. That is not just about equality for a chosen few; it is about equality for all.

'Sinn Féin's position on equality and respect can't be dismissed by Arlene Foster and the DUP as some sort of wish list.

'This is yet another example of the arrogance of Arlene Foster and the contempt the DUP has for broad sections of our community. It is a desperate effort to deflect from the DUP's mishandling of the RHI scandal, which could cost the public £500m.

'Equality is a fundamental right. It means equality and respect for our LGB brothers and sisters and the transgender community, for the Irish language community and identity, for women and for young people.

'The public now have the opportunity to choose between equality and respect and the DUP's arrogance and contempt.

'The choice is clear. Sinn Féin is standing up for equality, respect and integrity.'
