Wall Street shows resilience as Europe falters. Yesterday's trading highlighted this contrast. As the first round of French parliamentary elections approaches on Sunday, the mood in Europe is becoming increasingly tense. The Paris Stock Exchange, although not revisiting its June 14 five-month lows, has dropped for the third time in four sessions. Markets in Berlin, Zurich, London, Milan, Madrid, and Brussels also closed with losses of varying degrees.
