National law firm Seward & Kissel is pleased to announce that Gregg Bateman, Nick Katsanos, and Anthony Tu-Sekine have been promoted to partner, and Ross Hooper, Keri Riemer, Julia Spivack, and Robert Wood have been promoted to counsel. The promotions are effective January 1, 2016. All of the individuals who have been promoted are located in the New York office, with the exception of Anthony Tu-Sekine, who is located in Washington, D.C.

  • Gregg Bateman, who has been promoted from associate to partner, is a member of the firm’s Global Bank and Institutional Finance practice. He previously served on the Corporate Finance Editorial Advisory Board for Law360 and received his J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law.
  • Nick Katsanos, who has been promoted from counsel to partner, practices in the firm’s Business Transactions group and works on a variety of business transactions, financings, and corporate matters. He received his J.D. from New York University School of Law.
  • Anthony Tu-Sekine, who has been promoted from counsel to partner, is a member of the firm’s Corporate Finance and Investment Management groups. He received his J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Ross Hooper and Julia Spivack, who both practice in the firm’s Litigation group, have been elevated from associate to counsel. Keri Riemer, a member of the firm’s Investment Management group, and Robert Wood, a member of the firm’s Corporate Finance group, have also been elevated from associate to counsel.

Seward & Kissel, with offices in New York City and Washington, D.C., celebrated its 125th anniversary in September.
