Scantron, Inc. today announced two versions of the new release of Pinnacle Insight TM, a powerful Education data discovery solution for analyzing important trends and patterns at the district, school and teacher level. This solution enables educators to explore their educational data and see new connections and relationships between attendance, assessments, grades, and other data sources that often remain hidden in standard reports. Powered by QlikView®, an industry-leading business intelligence engine, Insight is a powerful analytics solution designed to support large data sets while delivering easy-to-read, intuitive, and interactive dashboards and data visualizations almost instantly.

"Other comparable analytic products rely on a data warehouse, which is expensive and time-consuming to build and maintain. Pinnacle Insight creates its own virtual warehouse in-memory. As a result, it is more cost-effective, less rigid, and more easily customized," said Anthony Cross, VP of Portfolio Planning & Strategy for Scantron. "Due to its easy-to-read dashboards, important trends and previously-hidden connections jump out so users can spend their time developing creative solutions instead of analyzing rows and columns of numbers."

Pinnacle Insight is not a reporting tool--it's a data discovery and exploration tool. Users don't need extensive training, because Insight works the way their brains work; making discovery flexible. At FETC, Scantron is launching two new versions of Pinnacle Insight, tailored to different audiences and needs, each one offering a range of dashboards and data visualizations.

Administrator Edition - A district level solution that can track, predict, and manage district metrics such as graduation rates, achievement gaps, or student mobility without the expense of a data warehouse. Administrators can also develop custom dashboards and visualizations that reflect the unique requirements of their district.

Administrator & Teacher Edition - A district and school level solution that expands the district's ability to share and analyze data to their entire team; helping them uncover trends and patterns in educational data at a school, classroom, or individual student level.

"The improvements our Scantron learning experts have made in the new Insight releases are intuitive for the users, which makes them extremely dynamic tools," noted Kevin Brueggeman, CEO of Scantron. "The way the information is presented facilitates quicker understanding, leading to new questions and expanded insights."
